Know us better

Why is Boosie’s turkey tail the best?

Our turkey tail is seriously impressive! It packs a whopping 22% beta-glucans, which is way more than your average turkey tail extract out there. We're talking next-level goodness!

Now, here's a little secret: some brands love to brag about their extraction ratios. The extraction ratio alone doesn't tell you the whole story about quality. Sometimes brands focus too much on those numbers, making it seem like the higher the ratio, the better the product. But that's not always the case!

What really matters is the concentration of beneficial compounds, like beta-glucans, in that final product.

Guess what? Our whole turkey tail made from those funky fruiting bodies has higher beta-glucans than many extracts claiming the highest ratios. We're playing in a league of our own!

What’s PSP?

PSP (polysaccharide peptide) is a remarkable component found in turkey tail mushrooms that can work wonders for your furry friends' health. PSP is like a secret weapon, specially designed to give your pets' immune system a superhero boost!

PSP has this incredible ability to modulate and regulate the immune system. It can enhance the activity of essential immune cells, like natural killer cells, macrophages, and T-cells. These little soldiers help protect your pets from pesky infections and diseases, ensuring they stay happy and healthy.

Of course, it's always wise to consult with a vet before introducing any new functional foods or changes to your pets' diet. They'll guide you on the best way to incorporate turkey tail into your furry friend's health routine. Stay pawsitive and keep those pets feeling like the true superheroes they are!

Why can the polysaccharide amount be misleading?

Here's the inside scoop on what some brands may not tell you. When it comes to key nutrients, many brands either keep it under wraps or simply don't bother with testing. Sneaky, right?

Now, let's talk about polysaccharides. Some brands might flaunt the polysaccharide content, but here's the catch: polysaccharides can include things like starch, not just beta-glucans. So, even if you see a high polysaccharide amount, it doesn't necessarily mean you're getting a high dose of beta-glucans. You could be getting a whole lot of starch and little to none of those valuable beta-glucans.

We believe in full transparency, which is why we focus on testing and disclosing the key nutrients in our mushrooms. You deserve to know exactly what you're getting, without any hidden surprises. With us, you can trust that our mushroom powders are packed with the good stuff and free from any unnecessary starchy fillers. It's all about giving you the best of the best!

How are your mushrooms grown?

Our proprietary methods are the result of some serious brainpower and research, thanks to generous grants that fueled our R&D projects. We take pride in growing our mushrooms in small batches, using nothing but the finest organic and plant-based substrates.

Once our mushrooms reach their peak maturity, we carefully dry them at 60°C. Then, we pulverise them, breaking down those stubborn cell walls for maximum goodness.

To seal the deal, we pack the powdered magic into environmentally-friendly amber glass jars before sending them on their way to your doorstep.. It's a treat for you, your furry friends and the planet, all in one package!

Which part of the turkey tail mushroom do you use?

Our turkey tail heteropolysaccharides are derived from the fruiting body.

Do you use any fillers or additives?

Nope, not a chance! Our mushroom powders are 100% organic and pure, just like nature intended. No tricks, no extras, only the good stuff for your furry friend's well-being. It's all about keeping it clean and fabulous!

Do you test your mushrooms for heavy metals?

Absolutely! We check our mushrooms for lead, cadmium, mercury, and arsenic.

Are medicinal mushrooms suitable for all pets?

When it comes to medicinal mushrooms, it's important to consider your furry friend's individual needs and consult with your trusted veterinarian.

In general, many pets can benefit from medicinal mushrooms, but there are a few factors to consider:

  • Species and size: Different species of pets may have different sensitivities or responses to medicinal mushrooms. Additionally, the appropriate dosage may vary based on your pet's size.
  • Health condition: If your pet has any pre-existing medical conditions or is on medication, it's essential to consult with your veterinarian before introducing medicinal mushrooms to their routine.
  • Dosage and monitoring: It's important to follow the recommended dosage guidelines provided by your veterinarian. Regular monitoring of your pet's response and any potential changes in their health is essential to ensure their well-being.

Remember, your veterinarian is the guiding star in your pet's health journey. They have the expertise to provide tailored advice and determine if medicinal mushrooms are suitable for your pet.
